Right time to put the record straight. All these rubbish diet plans may work for a few weeks but you can’t stay on them forever, eventually you’ll have to come off them and you will put on weight. I went from a size 16 to a size 10, from 14 stone to 10 stone and this is how.
I simply woke up one morning and went jogging, at first I couldn’t even jog for 20 minutes without stopping but I made sure I jogged every morning for at least 10 minutes and then I improved with each morning, I didn’t go to the gym, I simply just jogged and have been now for 8months and can now jog upto 8miles a day. I did 50 situps a day which again I improved on with time and that’s it.
Food wise I cut out all crap from biscuits, cakes, crisps, all junk and bought a diary, I wrote down all my calories so I knew how much I already had and how much I had left over, this helps you keep track of the calories after you decide how much you want to cut down to. I always had breakfast, its a must, skipping breakfast slows down your metabolism which you don’t want. Cereal (special k) was my breakfast, soup for lunch and jacket potato or pasta salad for dinner, (carbs are good for energy, not too much though) and fruit in between as a snack. This is jus an example of what I had whilst counting the calories to keep track and writing them in my diary.
After 2weeks of healthy food and hard core jogging I decided to have an odd naughty snack once a week as not only is it something to look forward to its also a good way to stop binging as if you cut out all sugar foods you will feel deprived and only go back to eating junk food so a naughty snack (a little one) once a week is okay as you kind of rewarding yourself.
Last but not least, the secret ingredient: Green tea or Peppermint tea all throughout the day, it stops you feeling hungry and speeds up your metabolism so you burn calories and lose weight quick. I lost a stone in under a month. Green tea is the best. My metabolism is so low so green tea has been and still is a miracle cure for me! Water is also great for the skin and great when your trying to lose weight. Not everyone likes water as it doesn’t really have any taste so to make it a bit more tasty I add lemons to it or drink flavored water, I try and drink at least 6-8 glasses a day. You will notice the difference and your skin will feel a lot healthier. Oh and before I forget, I try not to eat 4hours before I go to sleep so if I know I’m going to bed at 10 I will not eat after 6pm, if I do crave or feel a tad bit hungry then I will have a cup of green tea, a large glass of water or a little snack such as an apple.
Now that I am a lot more fitter I’ve now included zumba and yoga into my fitness regime and still jog, making the first step is all it takes.
