December

New month, same goals

So it’s a new month & for some of you eager beavers almost Christmas 😑 I will be indulging on that one day but until then I’m training hard because even though some people start the festive activities early with alcohol & food I shall still be continuing to towards my fitness goals.

This month I am giving the Nike training app a go, a fitness plan for the week designed for me, very excited to try this, love trying new things so I shall be sharing the workouts this week & hopefully getting to my goal size which I was a few years ago, 2 down from a size 16, 1 more to go, then it’s continuing to live a fit & healthy lifestyle whilst continuing to have my fun cheat days because it’s all about balance. I’ve come so far and one thing I am proud of the most is the fact that I haven’t quit, I lost count on how many times I quit and had to start over again, there’s nothing worse, it always feels worse starting over, I mean don’t get me wrong I’ve had off days but it’s always only ever been for 3 days max so I am proud, one more size to drop down to and then it’s just maintaining in. I’m so excited, working towards goals and seeing your progess so far is the best feeling ever.

So stay motivated and don’t let Christmas ruin your hard work, Christmas is the 25th of December so the time before that is still the time for you kick ass, why wait until the new year to start something new

10 months blogging

It’s almost the end of the year, thank God, I hate the last month of the year (yes even xmas) & I hate the winter season even more, the temp has drastically dropped & not even running is warming me up in the mornings, its the time of year where you just want to hibernate.

So with that being said I get why people lose focus around this time of year, so it’s extra motivation for me & my home workouts which is where it all began 10 months ago when I started my fitness blogging journey, something that has got me through the year & has been my proudest achievement, regardless of whether I’ve lost alot of weight or not because for me the most important thing when I started this was to find something new I was good at & making it my own, finding a new hobby that I loved & enjoyed & lastly something that could help me get through my dark times which it has.

When you’ve found that something do it everyday for the rest of your life!!!

As you can there’s a difference, but I ain’t trying to be skinny, I just want to be fit, healthy and happy and as long as I have fitness I’m on the right track.

80 day obsession

I am now doing “Beachbody on Demands” workout programme “80 day obsession” a series of 30/60 minute fun high impact workouts. Sonas the title says it’s an 80 day programme, yep 80 days & I’m going to complete this until the very end 😂

Out of all the workouts I’ve done through Beachbody on Demand this will be the longest one I have done & I have been putting this one off because this is a much more an intermediate/advancedce programme which I believe I am now ready for so…. I’m very excited to work my ass off, have fun & share my moves, routines & results with you. It’s not about being skinny, its all about being healthier, fitter, toned whilst looking good with & without clothes lol 💃

Resistance bands

Using my resistance bands which are a fab little item to add to your workouts.

It adds resistance to an exercise to strengthen your muscles & push you that little bit further because the more you stretch the band, the more intense the resistance gets making the exercise harder, not to mention it’s affordable, lightweight & easy to use.

I use this alot for stretching, lunges & squats & soon I shall be using it for push ups.

Start today & celebrate what your body can do which is pretty much anything you want it to!!!

The minute you start seeing that exercise is a fun activity and a talent that your gifted with that’s when you enjoy it more, you no longer see it as a chore or a punishment that you have to do because you’ve had something bad to eat.

I remember when I used to watch youtube videos of dancers, singers, artists etc and I wished I had a talent and someone once said to me you just need to hang in their, everyone’s gota talent and you just haven’t found yours yet. Despite that everyone can exercise I still believe that this is my talent, I love exercising, I love making up routines and filming videos on my blog and Instagram to share with the world and blogging out it, okay so I may not be a singer or dancer but I am a fitness fanatic and I’ve turned it into a hobby and hopefully using it to inspire others, so thats my talent and it’s something we have in all of us so there’s no reason for you to not go for it, not just with exercise to, anything you want you can have.

Weightloss results

Never thought I would ever share before pics of me but if it can motivate & inspire others then so be it, this is another throw back from a month or two ago where I was obviously a bit bigger & the after picture is me now. Again I can really see the difference in my arms, hips & stomach.

It takes trying on clothes & looking at old pics to notice this as sometimes you don’t realise just how far you have come, unless you weigh yourself constantly which I don’t, in fact I’ve not jumped on the scales in about 3 months & I own two, it is the worse thing to do on a weightloss & fitness journey, it’s just not needed because it messes your head up, this for me is enough to see how much I’ve lost!!!!

Goal plan tip

– Set your specific goal
– Set a realistic time frame
– Write your down your goal
– Write a plan on how to achieve it
– Set a start date *No excuses*
– Start your goal & think about it every single day

– In 1 months time go back to your goal plan & write down what you’ve achieved so far
– In 2 months time repeat the same steps above
– In 3 months time again repeat above + so on

– By this point you’ve already started changing your life for the better & it should now be a new part of your life & most importantly you should love every second of it, if you don’t or realise it’s not for you then make a new plan but no this, you tried & proved to yourself you can do anything you put your mind to!!!

– Whether your goal is to do with health, fitness, a career, money etc just stop wishing & start doing!!!
